Because he’s a crackpot? A nutjob? A patriot? Not shiny and polished as our current president-elect? A true upholder of the Constitution? Since when does serving 10 terms in office, delivering babies, and having a lock on why the economy is in the crapper somethinng to be frowned upon that’s not worthy of assigning him the task of fixing the current state of affairs with this great nation? After all, that’s why so many American’s voted for BO. First order of business is to fix the economy, right? That is what all of you wanted, right?

Why does the media love to get sound bites and interviews with him? Why did so many people contribute so much money is so little time to help this man’s presidential campaign? Why were they silenced after he wasn’t nominated? Why did Ron Paul refuse to run as an independent? The answers are out there if you know where to look.

In the meantime, CNN is featuring RP again on his views and thoughts about our economy and state of the G.O.P. Why is he the only one with the clarity to not only explain the problems of this country but to offer the paths towards reaching solutions? Talk about a massive FACEPALM!

(taken from CNN)

During the debates in the Republican Presidential primary, even though I am a 10-term sitting Representative Member of Congress, I was challenged more than once on my Republican credentials. The fact that I was repeatedly asked how I could be a Republican when I was talking a different language than the other candidates answers the question of how the Republican Party can slip so far so fast.

My rhetorical answer at the time was simple: Why should one be excluded from the Republican Party for believing and always voting for:

• Limited government power

• A balanced budget

• Personal liberty

• Strict adherence to the Constitution

• Sound money

• A strong defense while avoiding all undeclared wars

• No nation-building and no policing the world

How can a party that still pretends to be the party of limited government distance itself outright from these views and expect to maintain credibility? Since the credibility of the Republican Party has now been lost, how can it regain credibility without embracing these views, or at least showing respect for them?

I concluded my answer by simply stating the Republican Party had lost its way and must reassess its values. And that is what needs to be done in a hurry.

Polls are an interesting piece of the election puzzle. They’re meant to give you a picture of the current state of people’s opinions. The problem, however, is that polls only tend to measure a small group in a small part of the area. When one group starts to believe that another group’s polls are not a true reflection, guess what? “We’ve got our own poll that best represents how the nation feels about the candidates!” Pretty soon, we’re bombarded with “polls a here, polls a there, polls a everywhere”. What this ends up turning into is the equivalent of throwing a freshly made cow patty into a wall and seeing what sticks. The problem, however, is that if you don’t look at what sticks right away, it will eventually slide off the wall. Barely a reminder of the statement it hoped to make.

So here’s a freshly made cow patty in my hand and I’m about to throw it into the wall of American perspectives (realclearpolitics.com):

"… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote" - Barack Obama

“Glory is not a conceit. It is not a decoration for valor. Glory belongs to the act of being constant to something greater than yourself, to a cause, to your principles, to the people on whom you rely and who rely on you in return.” - John McCain

"And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see. Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you. For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him." II Chronicles 30:7-9

This is just my opinion. Take it for what it’s worth. Overall, if this isn’t your cup of tea, then at least think about which candidate has the desire to put their country first and their glory last. It’s not going to be an easy four years ahead of us but we have to unite behind this country – not the individual leading the country. Remember, we’re all the same on the inside.

“Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.” – Psalm: 119:34

Forget McCain and his lack of knowledge about the economy. It appears that no one in Washington wants to comment on all the bailouts. Is it that hard to piece together? I’m understanding that we’re now starting to bailout some non-US banks. What?!!

Your Greatest Moral Failure + America’s Greatest Moral Failure

First marriage + Lack of Devotion to Causes Greater to Our Self Interest

What does Christ mean to you?

It means I’m saved and forgiven.

What point is a baby entitled to human rights?

At the moment of conception.

Define marriage. Was California wrong to overturn it?

Union between one man and one woman. Yes, but being a federalist, each state should make this decision.

Does evil exist? Ignore it, negotiate it, contain it, defeat it?

Defeat it. Osama will be brought to justice. Evil must be defeated. Challenge is radical islamic terrorist.

Which Supreme Court justices would you not have nominated?

With all due respect – Ginsburg, Breyer, Souter, Stevens. Criteria of proven record of adhering to Constitution not legislating from the bench. Alito and Roberts are my favorites.

Define rich?

If you’re talking about income… how about $5 million? (He did say that everyone was going to take that answer out of context) Spending got out of control. Not taxes. We studied DNA of bears in Montana for $3 million! We need to be better stewards of taxpayers money. Everyone should be rich and taxes should not be raised.

Right to privacy and security. Which takes precendent?

We must preserve the privacy of all our citizens. There are so many ways to communicate and this country needs to keep up and monitor these ways of communication.

America’s responsibility to the world: What’s worth dying for?

Freedom. National security.

McCain had the answers quickly and then proceeded with his anecdotes. Basically the opposite approach that Obama took. Personally, I liked that because it showed that McCain doesn’t beat around the bush (bad pun, I know). It was a little grueling having to sit through and exactly get a vibe on what they really wanted to do for this country. There were some people that told me that McCain was given the answers beforehand and thus posed the advantage over Obama. Frankly speaking, no one’s going to care the next day. That’s the reason that vexes me into making sense of this world of politics. Both candidates sounded genuine but you can tell which one had priorities as stewards of their positions of power. God have mercy on us when we all head towards the voting booths.
