Teacher Diantha Harris browbeats McCain supporting student, Kathy,in Asheville N.Carolina grade school. The poor girl is obviously distressed over the teacher’s line of questiong and belittling her choice of candidate in front of her school mates.
This is exactly why I tell actors like Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Matt Damon to quit being an activist-wannabe and just entertain me with your acting abilities. If the political system bothers you that much, then do what Ronald Reagan, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono, Fred Grandy, Fred Thompson, and even Al Franken did. RUN FOR OFFICE!
Otherwise, teach what needs to be taught and stay away from indoctrinating our kids. That’s my job as a parent and why I pay for private school for my son!
So why haven’t the networks picked this up? Why is it in Europe. Want another reason why we’re the laughing stock of the world? FACEPALM!
So what should happen to this teacher? Nothing. Why? Let her superiors deal with her. The damage has already been done and soon she’ll realize what a dimwit she ended up being.
Sometimes when there is so much doom and gloom in one’s life, or in this case, one country’s life, sometimes the release of humor can not only be the release you need, it’s therapeutic. It makes you stop being so intense and refocuses your mind to the task at hand. Humor has to be a necessary requirement for a candidate to possess. Ronald Reagan had a sense of humor during times when our relationship with the Soviet Union was wearing thin and even after there was an attempted assassination on his life. Presenting yourself as funny when the time calls for it bring the seriousness of the situation down to a level that everyone can all be. George H. Bush didn’t have a sense of humor. We made more fun of him than he was able to do so himself. Bill Clinton always had a smile on his face and a quip up his sleeve (insert the reasons why here). George W. Bush had a sense of humor in the beginning but after the country was attacked physically, economically, and spiritually, no amount of stand-up could save him. Often he was looked at like the guy who always laughed at his same joke while others looked on shaking their heads. He should have poked more fun at himself. Instead of being a jokester, he was the butt of all jokes. Nowadays, you can’t even see him as much unless he’s addressing the country in serious tones.
Now Obama has made attempts to be funny, but it often looks like he’s being made to read the jokes with side notes telling him when to smile and laugh. See what I mean by seeing the clip below.
By contrast, McCain looks like he’s put on his smoking jacket and is about to reflect upon the funnier times that he’s lived through. There’s a lot to be said about life experience giving you the perspective to find the funny angles of life.
Now let’s take a look at where the center of comedy and politics are focused upon – Saturday Night Live. No discussion, just observe delivery of humor.
So apparently, his grandmother in Kenya says he was born in Kenya
But this report tells me that he was forced to be a citizen of Indonesia so he could go to school there.
But then recently, the State of Hawaii deemed his birth certificate as authentic and thus born in Hawaii as an American citizen.
And then to add insult to injury someone else decides that McCain isn’t a US citizen either!
Here’s the bottom line. Obama and Co. surely must know that this is now circulating amongst the public. Not only that, he’s established a reputation in responding to his critics and fending them off – whether you choose to buy his explinations or not. This questioning of his citizenship is no longer a matter of opinion like his past associations, but a matter of fact that needs to be answered. So why not silence your detractors and come up with the additional transcripts (from each of the colleges that you attended, for example which makes you bring these things before being admitted) that further support your claim to US citizenship? People are talking, the media’s not addressing it yet, and once again, we’re being forced to focus our attention away from getting this country back on track to your legitimacy of the Oval Office. Make up my mind, someone! I’ve got to cast my vote in a couple more days! Sheesh!
Yes, we’ve reached the all races, creatures, and levels to determine who’s got the edge.
Comedian Rich Kuras infiltrates the World of Warcraft to poll players on the 2008 Presidential Election.
We broke down the results per race and Class. What we found may…and please excuse the pun…WOW you!
Polls are an interesting piece of the election puzzle. They’re meant to give you a picture of the current state of people’s opinions. The problem, however, is that polls only tend to measure a small group in a small part of the area. When one group starts to believe that another group’s polls are not a true reflection, guess what? “We’ve got our own poll that best represents how the nation feels about the candidates!” Pretty soon, we’re bombarded with “polls a here, polls a there, polls a everywhere”. What this ends up turning into is the equivalent of throwing a freshly made cow patty into a wall and seeing what sticks. The problem, however, is that if you don’t look at what sticks right away, it will eventually slide off the wall. Barely a reminder of the statement it hoped to make.
So here’s a freshly made cow patty in my hand and I’m about to throw it into the wall of American perspectives (realclearpolitics.com):
